As owner of MIND Strategy Consultants and a former senior advisor to the governments of Aruba, Curaçao, and Bonaire, he brings deep regional institutional knowledge and cross-border business expertise. He co-organized Suriname Week in Curaçao alongside Sam Kruiner and has written on Suriname’s oil-driven economic transformation.
Fariq is an international tax lawyer and investment structuring specialist with deep expertise in the Suriname market. As the architect of KPMG’s Suriname tax practice, he has advised major multinationals — including oil, mining, and construction companies — on market entry, contract structuring, and cross-border investment. He is the founding partner of FamotaX B.V. and brings extensive experience across the Netherlands-Suriname investment corridor.
Dr. Manorma Soeknandan brings unparalleled institutional knowledge of Suriname and the Caribbean region. A former Ambassador of Suriname — accredited to Guyana, CARICOM, Cuba, and Jamaica, where she served as Dean of the Diplomatic Corps — she subsequently served as Deputy Secretary-General of CARICOM for seven years. Her expertise spans international law, investment governance, regional economic frameworks, and diplomatic relations.
